Marlin Miller is a Fort Walton Beach, FL native and amazing wood sculptor. He started the “Katrina Sculpture Project” in 2007, spending over a year in storm torn areas, donating time and resources to carve large oaks that were killed by Hurricane Katrina. So far he has completed over 30 sculptures along Hwy 90 on the Mississippi Gulf Coast with some of his creations towering more than 3 stories into the sky. The Katrina Sculpture Project has been featured on television stations, radio programs, magazines and newspapers around the country.

Firestorm Creative Studios has had the honor to partner with Marlin Miller on the Internet, producing MarlinMillerGallery.com. The site showcases photos of his most prominent work. We’re proud to work with Marlin Miller and we’re looking forward to the hard cover book “Katrina Sculpture Project” coming in July, 2009.

The initiative is aimed at bringing direct service from WestJet, a Canadian airline, to the Airport from Toronto. Large numbers of snowbirds travel to the Emerald Coast every year and this direct option could entice new travelers to the area.

“Roll Call” – Boys & Girls Clubs TV Commercial

Firestorm Creative Studios delivered the final PSA/TV Commercial titled “Roll Call” for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast. Production and post production took about 12 days. We filmed in three locations and recording audio in two locations, including the Arts Center at Northwest Florida State College.

Firestorm Creative Studios launched the newly redesigned and retooled website for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast. The feature-rich site boasts a fully integrated and customized content publishing and management system as well as newsletter management, RSS feeds and secure online payments for charitable donations to the club.

FCS Records Voice Over at Destin Recording

Firestorm Creative Studios went to Destin Recording to do the final voice overs for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast TV commercial. Destin Recording is also providing equipment to record the music for the commercial on location at the Northwest Florida State College Arts Center.

FCS Starts Production on Boys & Girls Clubs TV Commercial

Firestorm Creative Studios will begin production this week on a TV Commercial for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast. The commercial was written by Boys & Girls Clubs board member Susan Shaw of UWF. The commercial will feature the new facilities at the Clubs’ Denton Blvd site as well as select students from the Clubs.

We’re excited to be a part of such a wonderful organization and to have the opportunity to provide our creative and production services for them. The commercial will be completed by next week and is set to air before the end of the year. Stay tuned for more info and a post of the finished product.

Space Florida: FCS Attends Project Odyssey Event in Gulf Breeze

James Lopez, Producer at Firestorm Creative Studios, was invited to attend the Project: Odyssey announcement tonight. The announcement event was held at the Andrews Institute in Gulf Breeze, FL. James will also attend the Press Conference at the Andrews Institute scheduled for December 4th. Keep checking for updates about Project: Odyssey.

Project: Odyssey is the most recent development in the area of private space flight being made available to consumers. The Andrews Institute is providing Space Florida with health evaluations and programs for private space flight candidates in a concerted effort to help maintain the State of Florida as a leader in the Aerospace Industry throughout the United States and the World.

Earlier this year, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast sat down with Firestorm Creative Studios and together came up with the theme for the current Public Relations and Marketing campaign, “Empowering Kids.”
